If you are lucky enough to live near a casino, or maybe are planning a trip to Vegas then you will be able to play ‘real roulette‘. There are a few differences between playing online and playing on a live table, and on this page, I’ll try and explain these to help you out.
First of all, finding a table. Luckily roulette stands out from other casino games, both because of its large layout and because the roulette wheel the casino uses is large, usually up to 1m in diameter. This is unlike most other casino table games, where the tables can all look very similar when in fact they are providing different games. Also, roulette tables tend to be lower than other games, and often you will be sitting on chairs rather than bar-style stools.
Second, Find The Right Table.
Try and get a table with only a single 0, and not a 0 and 00. This will save you a lot of money and is essential if you are using my roulette system to try and make money. The single 0 table has a house advantage half that of a table with a 0 and 00. Now, it’s possible that the casinos you visit will not have single 0 tables or they may have only a few that are always busy and you can never get a seat. In this situation, I recommend you simply leave, go home and play roulette
online, where you will always be able to find a single 0 table.
Third, buy your chips.
When sitting down, you will have to give money to the dealers for them to exchange for chips. Take out the amount you want to change and place it on the table in front of you. Do not hand it directly to the dealer as they will not take it. This is for security reasons. They will then ask you which denomination you want your chips in. Choose an amount that you are happy playing at, (if you want to make larger bets later on you can always place more than one chip as your bet.) You will then receive your chips, which will all be the same color, and different from everyone else’s, this is so the dealers know who has placed which bets, and who needs to be paid when they win, you will all be placing bets on the same layout.
Fourth, place your bets.
Wait until a round has finished and bets have been paid out, now you can start making your bets. You may make as many bets as your chips permit, but make sure you look at the minimum amounts, these vary. You can keep placing, changing, or removing bets up until the time the croupier calls ‘no more bets’. At this point, you must not touch any chips which are on the layout. Shortly after this point, the little white ball will fall into one of the slots on the roulette wheel and the winning number will be decided. All winning bets will be paid by the casino, and the losing ones will be collected and normally scooped into a hopper. Then the process will start again and another round of betting will take place.
Most casinos are happy for you to use a system when playing roulette, this is because they do not believe they work. Many will provide pencils and charts for you to track the numbers that have recently won. However, casinos are not happy for you to hold up the game by using a system. You must make sure that you are not slowing the dealers down. The best way to do this is to practice any system you intend to use at home first, to get yourself up to speed before venturing into an actual casino.
